OSHEWARE

OSHA/EPA Compliance Software

The days of hunting through file cabinets and dusty storage boxes in response to a regulatory audit have come to an end. Today’s Environmental and Safety Manager needs access to data…..fast.

The key to the unique system is the Hub and Spoke design that allows a comprehensive look at a facility or program. Once a location is entered into the system, a variety of OSHA and EPA related program data can be managed from the single interface.

The system is available in both a PC based and on-line subscription service.

At DDS we take security and confidentiality very seriously. The process we use for the electronic management of our data is 100% secure. The DotNetNuke platform we use on our website for data management has never been compromised and the site itself is protected by 128 bit SSL security.

When an SSL handshake occurs between a client and server, a level of encryption is determined by the browser, the client computer operating system, and the SSL Certificate. Low-level encryption, 40 or 56 bits, is acceptable for sites with low-value information. However, a hacker with the time, tools, and motivation can crack the code in a matter of minutes.

High-level encryption, at 128 bits, can calculate 288 times as many combinations as 40-bit encryption. That’s over a trillion times a trillion times stronger. That same hacker with the same tools would require a trillion years to break into a session protected by an SGC-enabled certificate.

Read, write, edit and even print functions are restricted by DDS to provide the utmost in document security. A user located at site "A" cannot see any data at site "B" unless we allow it. If you (the customer) want an employee to have access to data, we will open the doorway, however, if an individual is restricted from access to any of our data, they will not see it. Period. We can assure you that on the DDS end of things your data is safe.

The system is designed to support small business through our unique subscription service. Unlike many competitors, our system doesn’t require a expensive initial purchase for software that may or may not work for your business. There is a nominal setup charge to bring your company into our system. We charge an annual fee based on the number of users and the modules that you need not what we offer. Data is backed up nightly so your records are safe and secure with OSHEWARE.

Need some help in automating those file cabinets and storage boxes? No problem. DDS offers data entry and administrative support at $25.00 per hour.

Technical Specifications

OSHEWARE online is a dot net application accessible only via the SSL encrypted https protocol. Each customer’s data is stored in their own Microsoft SQL 2005 database. Strong user passwords are required and are encrypted on the server. The SQL database is backed up daily. Data access is role based using the following roles: Administrator, editor, writer, and reader. The OSHEWARE security mechanism allows users to be assigned particular roles at various named locations. The application is hosted on P4 Server (1U Rack ) with multihomed redundant T3 connections running OS IIS 6.0 with Windows 2003 Server.
